Bread and Circus: The Timeless, Savage Nature of Humanity
Fighting is not always a bad thing. Fighting in the traditional sense, at least. Fighting as sport. It can be a great outlet for our primal instincts. Even so, we almost always see violent acts of injustice, cruelty, and needless bloodshed. Most wars are this way.
To be honest, society will never change in this sense. Humans are greedy creatures with violent tendencies. If we have the option to go to war, we will take it, even if diplomacy is achievable. Unfortunately, this isn't the only reason we resort to violence and war. We often do it to make a point, or out of selfishness. War can rally patriotism, unify a country to distract them from other pressing matters. It can make a profit and it can be a great source of entertainment, unfortunately. Society craves blood and entertainment. Bread and circus. We've always been this way, and we always will. Even if there are those of us who only want peace.
Stay spicy, don't be mean, drink water.
